Good morning! Today let's look at a layout from Silvia's newest kit called Naturelle, a beautiful kit with a wonderful color palette. This is called Love Ya Bud by kaybkay:
Kay has really made the papers the star of her show on this layout. She has layered them in such a great way, something you don't often see in layouts but that gives exposure to many of the amazing papers Silvia has given us in this kit. I love how she has tucked the tiny flowers in between the layers, and how the butterflies hover over it all. The mat she chose for her top layer is such a terrific enhancement to her pictures, and those pictures really stand out. Be sure and drop by the gallery and read Kay's explanation of this layout, and what Love Ya Bud and Love Ya Too Mom mean to her - and leave her some love while you're there!

We Are Who We Are
Good morning! Our week is winding down, just one more day til the weekend, yeah!!! We are going to see another layout using Silvia's Antique Gardens today. This is by mystampin, and it's called We Are Who We Are:
This is such a moving concept, that we are who we are because they were who they were, and especially when you apply it to this picture. I love thinking that I am descended from women who enjoyed being spontaneous and silly and weren't always looking to be prim and proper. It reminds me of another quote I love: Well-behaved women rarely make history! But enough of that, back to Beth's layout. The soft blending she's done to create the background is the perfect setting here. I like how she's used the frame just around the important part of the picture instead of the whole thing, I am a fan of that technique for sure. I like the rose lying underneath the picture of the women, and the clustering at the top is beautiful. Silvia always gives us so many elements that work perfectly for clustering, and every layout artist takes full advantage of that in their work.
That's all, see you tomorrow!

Mother and Daughter
Good morning! Today I'm going to show you another layout from Silvia's Antique Gardens kit. It's by Jean Ann, and it's called Mother and Daughter:
Wow, this picture is amazing - these women look more like twins than mother and daughter, don't you think? Jean Ann has done a beautiful job with this layout, using lots of negative space to enhance the picture and cluster she's created. The frame is a great choice for this picture, and I like the flourish coming off on the left side. Her cluster is lovely, and she's used my favorite pink roses! I can't quite figure out if she has extracted this picture, or if the background is just such a close match to her background paper, but either way it looks terrific.

Marie
Good morning! Continuing on with our featured layouts from Silvia's Antique Gardens, here is a beautiful layout from NMarti called Marie:
This is a vintage layout that works wonderfully with Antique Gardens! The gray background that Nancy has chosen makes everything else stand out so well. I guess you'd call everything on the left side of the page one big cluster, which is lovely, and also makes it easy to see the picture and journaling on the right side - I'm not an expert on design principles, but that's how it worked for me here. Those pink roses that Nancy has chosen to use are my favorite part of this kit, I think, and they really stand out on her layout. The journaling is a wonderful documentation of who Marie is that will be treasured for a long time to come.

A Walk To Remember
Happy Monday everyone! Let's continue admiring the beautiful work using Silvia's Antique Gardens kit, shall we? This is a layout called A Walk To Remember, and it's by mystampin:
Even though this kit has a varied color palette, I love how Beth has chosen primarily pink for her layout, it makes it really striking. These pictures are just amazing - where would you have to hold a wedding with that many bridesmaids and groomsmen, I ask you? I like how she's used the stamp repeatedly around the edges, it makes a nice border. The carefully chosen elements she's included here are just perfect for this layout!

Your Story
Good morning! Friday's here, time for lots of free time to scrap, right? Well let's look at some inspiration. Today I'm showing you a layout from Silvia's The Art of Storytellling. This was created by Art Teacher, and she calls it Your Story:
This layout uses Silvia's kit in some wonderful and unique ways that I really like. She's chosen a picture that has colors other than just yellow and gray, and has pulled it together so well - she picks up the pink in the picture with the color of her journaling, a great technique. I like how she framed her journaling with the stamp photo frame. I love the striped clip holding the tag, that really stands out nicely. The watch seems to represent the time that passes through the scrapbooks that have been created and are being looked at. I have to admit that I had never noticed that wonderful yellow stitching that she's used here - I had to go back to the kit to find it - and now I want to create another layout using it, it's so colorful and fun. There is so much to look at here, Art Teacher has definitely created a layout that will be treasured!

Shadows From The Past
Hi! Come on in and let's look at a wonderful layout created from Silvia's Antique Gardens kit. This is called Shadows From The Past and it is by KaybKay:
Kay has truly created magic with this layout. As her journaling states, the pictures are of her and her mom at age 5. The shadow in the top picture, and the one that she duplicated on the right side of the layout, is her mom. When I look at the picture of her mom and the shadow behind it, it's like the life of the child casts a long shadow into the future of what she will become, and then is present in the life of her daughter. That is some really magical storytelling, Kay! Using the gray background and muted elements carries out her Shadow theme, with the bright pink flowers really drawing attention to her pictures. I am so impressed with the layout that Kay has created, true artistry at work.
There is magic in these gardens. Create some for yourself.

Smile
Good morning! Don't you just love it when a picture tells a story? The Art of Storytelling is perfect for those sorts of layouts. Today we are going to look at a layout by Glitter Queen called Smile:
What a happy, playful, joyous layout this is! Jeri has truly outdone herself with her selection of paper and elements here. The smile starts with her sweet Lily's face, and the joy is carried on through the clusters she's created. The black and white photo goes so well with the black and grayish elements, and the yellow rose and yellow mat that peek out from her cluster add a look that brightens everything right up. Jeri has successfully created another masterpiece in her quest to chronicle Lily's life!

Gardens of Royalty
Good morning! How about another walk with Silvia's Antique Gardens? I'm going to show you a layout called Gardens of Royalty, by Art Teacher:
This layout is a real treat for me - I am a big fan of swans and completely in love with baby ducks, so when Art Teacher combined my favorite photo subjects with this beautiful kit, it really won me over. The background paper she has chosen here is amazing! It is an artful representation of the grass and the sky above, with the flowered vines along the side, making an excellent foundation for this layout, and I can think of other uses as well. She's chosen great elements for her small clusters and scatters, as well as several paper strips from the other papers Silvia has given us here. I love the way she's placed the three pink roses, and how they bring out the pink in the woman's shirt. Such a fantastic layout!
You can get Antique Gardens here:
If you have garden or nature type photos to scrap, this is the kit for you. And if you don't have those sorts of photos, I'll be glad to donate some of mine!

1950s Wedding
Good morning! Is it really Monday already? My how time flies! As you saw on Friday, our favorite designer has a new kit out, called Antique Gardens, and it is extraordinarily lovely! So today I'm showing you a layout done with this kit. It's called 1950s Wedding and is by Jean Ann:
Silvia has given us so much to work with in this kit, starting with this background paper - the blended roses are so gorgeous! Then we also have the rose elements that Jean Ann has used for her clustering on this layout - they almost make me feel like I can smell their delicate scent. The frame here is one of my favorite parts of this kit, with its torn edge curled up like that, and it is the perfect enhancement for her picture. The finishing touch of the lace once again shows Silvia's habit of providing us with exquisite lace borders in her kits, and the pink of the lace brightens up the gray side of her background paper so well.

Wonderful
Hello scrapping friends! Today I want to show you another layout using Silvia's The Art of Storytelling. This is called Wonderful and it's by mystampin:
This layout is very appropriately named - it is definitely wonderful! I love how Beth used the cutout piece of the striped paper, and the diamond paper behind the picture - it's hard sometimes to find a way to use patterned background papers, and this is an excellent way she's chosen. The way she's created clusters with 3 yellow roses also draws my eye right into the picture, and I like the way she's placed the main picture, just slightly off center. She has used so many of the wonderful elements in this kit, it really sets my imagination flying!

The Graduate
Good morning! Today we are going to go back a few kits and look at a layout done with Silvia's Embraceable You. It's by nmarti and it's called The Graduate:
This layout is a touching tribute to, I believe, nmarti's daughter, tracing her graduation accomplishments from kindergarten to nursing school, certainly wonderful accomplishments to be proud of! The layout has been designed so beautifully. She's used the brick mats to create a pathway between each occasion that works so well. The way she's anchored the bottom corner picture with the corner of that shabby paper is terrific and provides great contrast to the light blue graduation robe. I love how she extracted the nursing graduate picture to really make it shine, and she's used the lovely and delicate flowers to create a bigger cluster that ties the top two pictures together. I know this is a layout that she will treasure for all time.

Growing Up
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing weekend! Today we are going to look at a layout using The Art of Storytelling. It's called Growing Up, and it's by Terry F:
Here's an example of a picture that works perfectly with the colors of this kit. Terry has created a nice background effect using a yellow and a black paper, and a cluster for each background part, both of them full and rich. She's used just a hint of yellow in her clusters, which lets the yellow from the darling girl's shirt be the real star here. There are so many wonderful elements in The Art of Storytelling to choose from, it's a piece of cake to create the sorts of beautiful clusters Terry has here. This striking color palette, showing off this child and her charming smile, is definitely one that will be treasured and admired.

Art of Storytelling
Good morning! Let's look at another layout from Art of Storytelling...this is by Jean Ann and the layout is also called Art of Storytelling:
Such a striking layout - it made Gallery Stand-Outs at Gotta Pixel, and deservedly so! I think what I love about this kit the best is how dramatic the colors of yellow and gray are together, and you see that immediately when looking at this layout. One of the challenges in using these colors is that you either have to have a picture with the perfect colors to blend with the kit, or change your image to black and white. Even though it may not occur to you at first, oftentimes when we convert photos to black and white, they take on a whole new life and impact, which I think is the case with this layout. I love how the yellow rose and paint splashes just pop right out at you. That background paper with the glitter branches dresses this page up so much, and is especially visible by the way Jean Ann has layered the background papers. So here you have another example of great inspiration on the way to telling your own stories.

Time Flies
Good morning! Today I have a layout to show you from Silvia's newest kit called The Art of Storytelling. It's by Sage Diva, and it's called Time Flies:
The Art of Storytelling is a gorgeous kit with the color palette of yellow and gray, something that is very appealing to me. Kristin has done a lovely job with her layout here. Her slightly offset photo shows up so well on the background she's chosen, and that frame is perfect for it. I especially love her cluster in the bottom right corner - the bright yellows really pop here, and she's chosen several of the many elements Silvia has given us to work with in this kit. The watch on top defines the layout's name, and her shadowing is just amazing! The small cluster in the top corner finishes the layout's appealing balance.

Puppy Love
Good morning! Today we are going to see another layout with Silvia's Appassionata kit. This one is called Puppy Love by Jean Ann:
Puppy love has a few different meanings, and the one Jean Ann has chosen here really tugs at the heartstrings! What an adorable little puppy this is - her extraction is outstanding, and to me it looks like the puppy is going to launch himself right into my arms any minute. Once again Appassionata lends such a touch of softness and sweet sweet love to her layout. I love the ribbons along the edge, and the cluster is so pretty and delicate, love the way she's anchored it with the messy mat. I don't know how a designer whose products are as elegant as Silvia's can create a messy anything, but she does it brilliantly!

Happy Birthday Miss Macie!
Good morning - is it really Monday already? Where did the weekend fly off to?
Today we will see a layout from Silvia's beautiful Appassionata kit. It's by the51mom, and it's called Happy Birthday Miss Macie:
This layout makes me smile from ear to ear! It's funny, Judith says she has an aversion to scrapping with pink, but I'd say she's getting over that pretty quickly. I love the way she's layered her background papers. The two clusters are so well-done - I especially love the string of beads she's used to anchor her main cluster. Everything she has chosen to use for this layout works perfectly to enhance this picture - what a hoot it is too! The pink sunglasses and beautiful pink lips are a perfect blend with the rest of the layout. Now I hope her lollipop is pink bubble gum, because if it's orange or purple, it's going to destroy the whole color balance, LOL! Luckily it doesn't matter since the photographer has captured her in her saucy enjoyment of its sweet taste.
