Wilderness Chapel

Good morning!  Today we are going to look at another layout from With This Ring.  This one is by Terry F and is called Wilderness Chapel:

When I take the name of this layout, Wilderness Chapel, and the name of the kit, With This Ring, I imagine the bride and groom walking through the forest and stumbling upon this perfect place for them to wed.  I'm glad Terry didn't show us the surroundings of the chapel because then I can imagine my own story - and I have a vivid imagination for sure!  The chapel looks so rustic, and it looks right at home with the beautiful papers and elements from With This Ring - that's how I know it's the place for the wedding to be.  Terry's mats and clustering are so beautiful - I am loving that ribbon that runs partway across the page as a tool to lead your eye into the photo - I am seeing that more and more lately, I will have to try that myself because it works really well, I think.  Thank you, Terry, for this wonderful layout that's full of so many possibilities.

I Do

Happy Monday everyone!  I hope you had the best weekend possible...I know some of us spent it being sick, but today's a new day.  I'm hoping it's bright and sunny, but the sun's not up yet so that remains to be seen.

Today's layout comes from With This Ring.  It was created by mystampin, and it's called I Do:

Wow, there is so much to say about this layout I hardly know where to start!  Let me start by saying that Beth has done an amazing job in showcasing Silvia's With This Ring kit - I'd be off and running to buy it if I didn't already have it!  She's selected papers and elements mostly in the purplish range that match her photo so well.  I love the way she's clustered here - I know that often we tend to make our clusters smaller, but Beth's is so big and bold, making the page just that much more remarkable.  And the papers!  I did a double-take when I saw that lace-edged paper - I didn't remember that being in the kit - but Beth created that using one of the papers Silvia provided and backed it up by the lace ribbon included in the kit.  The result is so delicate, and totally changes the look - the layout would not have the same impact without it. Hooray Beth, this layout is a treasure!

The Beauty Of Love

Good morning Silvia Romeo fans! I don't know about you, but I am just bowled over by the beautiful kit With This Ring.  Yesterday we looked at a traditional wedding layout that used this kit to perfection, and today we are going to see a layout that is not a wedding, showing  just how versatile this kit is.  It's called The Beauty of Love and it's by Art_Teacher:

This layout's title is so appropriate - this couple does look beautiful in their obvious love for each other. The woman's shirt is a perfect blend for the deep rose colors in With This Ring.  The way Laura has stacked her papers is great - I really love the paper behind the photo, how it extends beyond the edge of the photo on the right side.  That piece of lace is to-die-for gorgeous, and she has scattered the other elements around so artfully.  This certainly gives me ideas for non-wedding layouts with this kit!

The Kiss

Good morning!  I hope everyone has had a chance to shop Silvia's great sales going on in all her stores - she's also Featured Designer at Gotta Pixel!  She has a new kit called With This Ring, and as you might imagine it's perfect for wedding photos.  In our layout today, Sagediva has used With This Ring to create a lovely layout called The Kiss:

There is so much to love in this layout!  First is the background paper, a beautiful blended paper that Silvia has given us - isn't it beautiful?  The way Kristin has arranged the photo and cluster really catches my eye - the frame is gorgeous, and the cluster is just right - it does not overpower the design of the layout but definitely dresses it up so much.  The ribbon leads right into the photo so well.  Kristin  has left lots of blank or "white space" in this layout, and that makes everything stand out even more.  I love how she's written "The Kiss" in the bottom right corner - The Kiss, the big one at the end of the ceremony, the one where everyone is witnessing the love this couple has for each other.  Kristin has created a page that is a beautiful memory.

Clarence & Elsie

Good morning!  Have you heard the news?  The Daily News, that is!  This is a kit with so much versatility, and let me just show you some of that right now!  This is a layout by nmarti and it's called Clarence & Elsie:

What we have here is a beautiful vintage layout that is just perfect with Daily News!  The word tags that Silvia has included for us are perfect, and these pictures are such treasures - the blues and white-ish elements set off the pictures perfectly, and the pink-ish accents make them really stand out.  The cluster is fabulous too!  Yet another example of just how much you can do with Daily News!

Sandbox Fun

Good morning!  Are you ready for the Daily News?  That's what I have to show you - a beautiful layout using Silvia's newest kit Daily News.  It's done by sagediva and it's called Sandbox Fun:

Okay, want to know the FIRST thing I notice?  Kristin has written the date on this layout - it's January 2012. SO, obviously she lives in Paradise, right? LOL!  Raise your hand if you get to wear short sleeves in January...yeah, I thought so!

But let's get back to the layout.  Notice how she has created three beautiful clusters, which is a number that balances a layout nicely, and brings my eye right to the photo.  Obviously there are plenty of elements in Daily News to create very nice clusters!  The colors of the kit are not exactly neutral, but as you can see they work perfectly with Kristin's brightly colored photo, giving you so much versatility.  I love the background paper with its little bit of newsprint peeking out the corner, and it's so beautiful with the butterflies Silvia has blended in.  So I think you'll agree with me that Daily News works wonderfully with events of daily life, which are many and varied, but has enough elegance that it can work with dressier photos too.

From This Day Forward

Good morning Silvia fans!  Today I am going to show you a gorgeous 2-page layout.  It's by the51mom, who has used Silvia's In The Gloaming to create the layout titled From This Day Forward:

It's harder to see the details here with a 2-pager (you can click on the layout to see a bigger version), but it's quite easy to see the elegance.  The color palette of In The Gloaming is the perfect accent to these oh-so-romantic wedding photos - such a handsome couple this bride and groom make, almost like Cinderella and her prince!  And looking at the layout with a bit of distance, I notice the three clusters, going from small to medium to large, and each with repeating colors and flowers that lead your eye right across the page.  Those blue ribbons in the middle cluster are a great touch, and the blue brackets at the left and right sides of the pages give this almost a warm and cozy feeling, know what I mean?  I can easily see this beautiful bit of artistry framed on the couple's living room wall to bring back delightful memories of the beginning of their life together.

Bill's Birthday

Good morning, and a very Happy Valentine's Day to you, if you celebrate that holiday, and otherwise just a very Happy Tuesday!  Today I'm going to show you a beautiful layout from Silvia's newest kit called Daily News.  It's by art teacher, and it's called Bill's Birthday:
Daily News is a wonderful kit - it has a sort of "newspaper" look.  I'd say from the title that Silvia has given us a kit we can use for our daily events and our special events all rolled up in one.  I love how Laura has captured a special family birthday in this layout!  One of the first things I notice when I look at this is how the stripes of the background paper lead right in to the stripes on the man's shirt, and it's perfect that she made the background stripes vertical where the shirt stripes are horizontal - that is a fantastic touch!  And isn't that multi-photo frame delightful?  She was able to use several pictures in a cohesive fashion to really tell her story, so that, along with her excellent journaling, makes this a page that gives us a birds-eye view into her memorable family birthday celebrations.  Her choice of elements  brings the perfect finishing touch to this terrific layout.  Thanks Laura!

Cupcake

Good morning everyone - the start of another wonderful week - like the title of this layout, I hope your week is filled with cupcakes!

Today I'm going to show you a layout with Embroidered Dreams.  It's called Cupcake, and it's by Glitter Queen:
This layout is just about as delicious as the cupcake this precious little girl is enjoying!  Jeri has used the edge overlay that is my favorite part of this set of products - I think it is just fantastic.  I love the small corner photo and cluster, and then when I look at the center photo and cluster, I can't help but wonder if Lily is saying "are you really taking a picture of this?" LOL!  The lower right clustering is mirrored in the upper left corner as well, and all these clusters make this layout so much fun to look at!

There are several add-ons in this line, including the main kit, solid papers and overlay, and the embellished alpha.  You can get them separately, or also in a bundle - see them all here:

Choosing a Veil

Good morning!  Hope it's a bright sunshiney day where you are!  Today we are going to look at another layout created with Silver Serenade - it's called Choosing a Veil, and it's by mystampin:

Here again we have another layout masterpiece.  This is just packed full of beauty!  The black and white picture really stands out, but the elements around it do such a great job of enhancing it as well.  I don't know if we can officially call this a cluster on this layout because she's basically clustered on the whole page, and with great skill and artistry.  And isn't it perfect how the lace in the veil goes so perfectly with the elements?

Dad's Family

Hello again!  Today let's look at a layout by kaybkay from Silver Serenade - this is called Dad's Family:

When I read Kay's layout description, I learned that these family pictures are very precious to her, and she has created a layout that showcases them beautifully.  The way the pictures are angled brings a lot of interest.  I really like the way she's done the background, with the darker and lighter blues divided by that amazing ribbon, which is one of my favorite elements in this kit!  The layering of papers and elements behind the pictures and ribbon also does so much to make her pictures stand out, and the butterflies on the right edge give a nice sense of movement here.  This is a wonderful layout that does great justice to her special pictures!

You can get Silver Serenade, along with its extra embossed papers, here:

NOTE:  Kay did use one element from Black Tie Collection, the button and bow tag.

Do you have special pictures like this that you could make into heirlooms using Silver Serenade?

My Folks, 1978

Good morning and Happy Tuesday!  Just think, many of us will be celebrating Valentine's Day in one short week - didn't we just celebrate New Year's Day a couple of days ago?  My how time flies!

Today let's look at another wonderful layout using Silver Serenade.  This one's by The 51 Mom, and it's called My Folks, 1978:

Judith has matched the colors in her photo and the color in her main background paper perfectly, and the way she's extended the right-hand photo over into the gray gives it a nice continuity that really leads my eye into the pictures.  The rest of her paper stack is perfect for the wonderful cluster she has built and for the messy mats behind the photos. Her cluster is gorgeous, oh how I wish I had that clustering gene, LOL!  Isn't it great, too, to see her wonderful vintage photos?  I know for me, in photos like this, I enjoy looking not only at the faces, but remembering the clothing, the furniture and knick-knacks around the room - sometimes those are more sentimental than even the pictures, I wonder if Judith can relate?

You can get Silver Serenade, along with its extra embossed papers, here:

So check out your pictures, see if you have room for a beautiful Silver Serenade!

Holmberg

Good morning friends!  Today we are going to look at a layout using Silvia's Silver Serenade kit - it's called Hamburg by Tant Eva:

This is truly one of those layouts that my hand just wants to reach out and touch, it has such a special 3D appearance, the way she's shadowed her cluster, the photos, and the vines of flowers up the right side.  That is truly a great scrapping talent in my opinion, to be able to make a layout look that "touchable."  And her cluster is truly magnificent!  She's used so many of the beautiful flowers, ribbons and butterflies that Silvia is famous for and are included in this kit.  The muted colors of the layout make the pictures really stand out. I also think the way the title is placed so that some of it is just barely behind the elements adds to its appearance of realism.  Eva created this layout for the Cluster Challenge at Gotta Pixel - she does an amazing job with clustering in many of her layouts.

I also have to comment on the photos - it's so great to see the two photos of her family side by side to compare yesterday and today.  And it's a perfect example of how vintage photos were colored, and the bright colors we have in today's photos.  I am sure this is a layout that will be very much enjoyed.

Embroidered Flowers

Hi friends!  Well, the superstar layouts from Embroidered Dreams just keep on coming - today we are going to look at a layout by Glitter Queen called Embroidered Flowers:

There are almost 2 layouts shown here, the wonderful way she did the background, then the picture with the cluster in the bottom left corner - and of course it's the beautiful Lily who's the subject of her photos.  That gorgeous gold-on-cream background paper comes straight out of the kit, isn't that just to-die-for?  And Glitter Queen has used the blank spot on the paper in such a great fashion by blending in a larger copy of her photo.  I love the clusters anchored by the paper strips along the 3 edges, and the way she's cropped her photo into a circle makes the layout flow so beautifully.

There are several add-ons in this line, including the main kit, solid papers and overlay, and the embellished alpha.  You can get them separately, or also in a bundle - see them all here:

Dreams

Hi scrapping friends!  Today we are going to look at another layout from Embroidered Dreams - this kit is just full of wonderful potential!  The layout is called Dreams, and it's by Jean Ann:

This is a layout that I would never have imagined!  The monochromatic coloring is just outstanding to highlight the wonderful out-of-bounds extraction of this dreaming young lady.  I don't usually do layouts in all one color like this, but this one is definitely going in my favorites!  The background paper, ribbons, flowers, all just work in a wonderful cohesive fashion to make this elegant layout one that will certainly be treasured.  I also love how Jean Ann has slightly angled the frame, adding even more interest here.

There are several add-ons in this line, including the main kit, solid papers and overlay (and that overlay is TO DIE FOR!), and the embellished alpha.  You can get them separately, or also in a bundle - see them all here:

Recital

Good morning - it's actually still morning today, LOL!  Today we have another layout using Embroidered Dreams - this one is a stunner by Terry F called Recital:

Isn't this amazing?  When you look at the overall layout, it has a vintage feel as well as a sense of elegance - the coloring of the pictures, the girls' dresses, and the gorgeous papers and elements of the kit bring this out.  I love the beveled look of the purple paper, that is a great touch.  And of course the pictures are definitely the star of this show, along with Terry's well-written journaling that brings us in on the complete story.  Terry's clusters, using the absolutely gorgeous elements from Embroidered Dreams, are really spectacular - I just can't say enough about the wonderful flowers and ribbons and such that Silvia has given us to create with here.  I really love this layout!

I have to just add that this layout really brings out the feel of how special recitals are - from 1958 until today.  We also enjoyed wonderful recitals just a few years ago with my daughter, and they were the same sort of special occasion that Terry is showing us here.  I really hope this is a tradition that continues and does not get overshadowed with today's modern ways of life.
