With This Ring

Good morning!  Today we are going to look at another beautiful layout done with Silvia's With This Ring kit.  The layout has the same name, With This Ring, and it's created by Jean Ann:

We have been able to see so many beautiful wedding layouts created with this fantastic kit, haven't we? And this one is right up there with the rest of them.  I love the background she has created - it's actually 2 purple papers layered on top of each other, with the lace ribbon down the side, but the way Jean Ann has done it, it looks to me like the top patterned paper is a lace overlay itself, such a pretty touch!  This frame is just gorgeous, sets her picture off perfectly, and I love how she's anchored her cluster with the lace doily.  She's used so many of the beautiful elements from With This Ring to create her cluster.  The overall effect is so elegant, so vintage, so timeless.

Daddy

Good morning, my Silvia fan friends!  Today we are going to look at a layout from one of Silvia's older kits, Basically Worn.  The layout is called Daddy, and it's done by kaybkay:

This layout really touched me and brought tears to my eyes.  Kay's journaling is a beautiful portrayal of her feelings about her father, ending with how much she misses him.  If you've lost someone important in your life, you definitely can relate.  She has included 2 pictures, one of her as a baby and one as an adult, and I know she treasures both of them.  I think choosing the colors black and white for this layout helps to portray the sense of loss she feels - actually it's more accurate to say that the paper is black, but everything else is white.  So maybe there's a sense of sadness but it's overcome by the white color of hope.  The white clustering is fantastic, it really sets off the top picture and creates a dividing line between the top and bottom halves in a great way. I know this must have been a healing layout for Kay, and I thank her so much for sharing this tender place in her heart.

Even though we usually look at layouts from new releases, I just felt this was such a special layout I had to share it with you.  And maybe this is a kit you haven't taken a look at yet, so take this opportunity!

What A Difference A Day Makes

Good morning, a bright shiny start to a brand new week!  I hope it's going to be a great one for you!

Today we are going to look at a layout done with Silvia's With This Ring.  It's by mystampin, and it's called What A Difference A Day Makes:

What a difference a day makes...I had never thought of that phrase in conjunction with a wedding day, but it is certainly spot-on.  For me, this page gives a great visual collage of the wedding day, using so many of the elements Silvia has provided us in this kit.  The rings, the flowers, the lace, the mats, and all of them clustered at a larger size than you might expect, which gives the impression of all the important elements of the day.  The way mystampin has layered her background papers is great, and really sets off the shades of color in her chosen elements.  And oh, that picture - the bride's veil drawn softly from her hair to his face, almost like they are in their own little world...when you think about it, brides and grooms ARE in their own little world, even though they invite all of us to witness.

Take Care of Her

Good morning, and a happy Friday to you!  Today we are going to look at a layout from Silvia's new kit called With This Ring.  This is done by sagediva2, and it's called Take Care Of Her:

Such a stunning layout!  I love when photos and papers are blended together in this way, I think it gives great impact.  This rosy paper picks up the pinks in the flowers of the photo, and also almost gives the sky a rosy glow.  I like how Kristin has set the journaling mat on the bottom cluster to just peek out below the flowers, with the beautiful button to anchor it.  The cutout of the three hands clasping as repeated in the frame on the left is a wonderful touch, it really makes a strong statement about this layout, which is all about Dad passing over his daughter's hand to the new husband-to-be.  This layout will be a treasured part of the bride's wedding album, I know.

Wilderness Chapel

Good morning!  Today we are going to look at another layout from With This Ring.  This one is by Terry F and is called Wilderness Chapel:

When I take the name of this layout, Wilderness Chapel, and the name of the kit, With This Ring, I imagine the bride and groom walking through the forest and stumbling upon this perfect place for them to wed.  I'm glad Terry didn't show us the surroundings of the chapel because then I can imagine my own story - and I have a vivid imagination for sure!  The chapel looks so rustic, and it looks right at home with the beautiful papers and elements from With This Ring - that's how I know it's the place for the wedding to be.  Terry's mats and clustering are so beautiful - I am loving that ribbon that runs partway across the page as a tool to lead your eye into the photo - I am seeing that more and more lately, I will have to try that myself because it works really well, I think.  Thank you, Terry, for this wonderful layout that's full of so many possibilities.
