Chinese Lantern Festival

Good morning!  Today we are continuing our inspirational layouts from Lavish Spring.  This layout was created by NMarti and is called Chinese Lantern Festival:

This is such an interesting layout!  Be sure to click on the layout to see a larger copy so you can read her journaling - it makes me want to take a trip to Missouri to see these beautiful lanterns!  Lavish Spring provides the perfect pieces to complement her pictures too.  Nancy's clusters are wonderful, and the paper pieces she has used to anchor the clusters provide a nice spalsh of color.  I love the frames she has selected, and that flair below the top picture is one of my favorite elements in the kit.  Nancy has given us much in this layout to be inspired by!

Spherion

Hello!  With our memories of spring and flowers so recent in our minds, let's look at a layout from Silvia's Lavish Spring kit.  This was created by TerryF, and it is called Spherion:

I love the colors of this layout, and the kit goes so well with Terry's picture.  I like the clusters - the smaller one at the bottom and the larger one above it, and I like how they seem to flow right into the flowers in the picture.  Those large roses are so gorgeous - as you can see here, Silvia has given us the same rose from two different viewpoints which makes it easy to cluster with them.  The little bird who watches over the entire layout is the perfect touch - I can almost hear him chirping happilly!

Lily in Cream

Good morning!  Do you feel like dancing the Fandango on this lovely morning?  Well, maybe just some inspiration from Fandango Fiesta will do, let's try that!  We are going to look at a layout done by Glitter Queen called Lily in Cream:

Wow, so much to love in this layout!  It's always so wonderful to see each artist's interpretation of the kit contents, and the many different ways a kit can be used.  In this case, the white background papers with the blue sandwiched in between is a great effect - a blue background would have detracted from the main page, I think, but using it this way gives you the framing of the blue that adds so much here.  I like the patterned papers that she's layered behind the photos, they also add interest and texture.  The three clusters are so pretty - I have really started trying to notice the effect of triangulation, or using 3 elements (or clusters) on a page to bring the eye where you wish it to look, and it certainly works well here.  And, as always, I'm delighted to see a layout from Jeri to catch up on Lily's latest looks!

Hello - sorry I've been missing, but I'm back now going full blast!  Today we are going to look at a layout using Silvia's beautiful Lavish Spring kit.  The layout is by kaybkay, and it's called Smiles:

This child's beautiful blue eyes pull me right in to this picture - Kay has cropped and placed it to perfection.  Everything about the layout blends wonderfully with the picture - the corals and pinks go so nicely with her skin, and the blues make her eyes look even deeper.  I love the cluster Kay created, and the butterflies flying over the top are a fantastic finishing touch.  The word art is so appropriate - These Smiles Are The Seeds Of The Future - what could be more fitting?

Bubbles and Balloons

Good morning!  Today we are going to see a layout from a kit that Silvia released about this time last year, called Joie de Vivre.  Nmarti has created a lovely work of art with this kit, called Bubbles and Balloons:

Aren't the colors here amazing?  Such beautiful purples with just the touch of green, I really love this color palette.  And I really love this picture!  I have an idea that when she reaches out to take the balloon that is being offered to her, it will make her so light and giddy that she will float up to the ceiling!  Nancy has done such a great job of showcasing her picture with this kit.  The clusters look touchably real, and the string of flowers is the perfect element for that space.  The triangulation of the 3 butterflies draws the eye right in to the picture - not that it needs much help!  Love the papers Nancy has chosen for layering behind the photo.  This is a layout that will surely trigger happy memories for many years.

Blushing Bride

Hi!  Hopefully by now you've seen the previews to Silvia's newest kit, which is called Lavish Spring.  This is a beautiful kit with a really fantastic color palette, I know you can get lots of scrapping done with it.  But let's look at some inspiration - this layout is called Blushing Bride, and is by sage diva 2:

This is the perfect kit to highlight this memorable wedding picture.  The background paper is a beautiful print but doesn't overpower Kristin's layout.  The highlight papers she's chosen also pick up the picture colors well, and the cluster of flowers at the bottom makes the flowers in the brides bouquet really pop.
