There have been some beautiful layouts added to Silvia's gallery in the past few days. This one particularly drew my eye. The photos taken at different times of the year are beautiful and I love how they are arranged on the page! I also like the colors and beautiful flowers that look like they were pulled right from the photos. And the way the frame is placed is so creative!

Layout: Remembering Our Past

Last week I told you about Silvia's Around The World challenge at Digitals. Today I want to tell you about the challenge I host at Gotta Pixel; the Remembering Our Past challenge. This is a heritage style challenge in which I ask you to remember your past, each month using a different scrapping technique. This month I have asked for layouts showing 'white space'.

I absolutely LOVE using Silvia's designs for my heritage layouts. They are so warm and beautiful and make wonderful layouts. Here is one that was submitted for my challenge. The background paper reminds me of wallpaper I've seen in old photos from when my mother was a young woman. And I love the pearl brads!

This layout combines two of my favorite things. I love deep red background with accents of white and black. It gives to much drama to a layout. And I also love watching figure skating with all it's grace and beauty. The circle shapes of the photos gives a fluid feel to the layout and the icy snowflakes reflect the frosty feel of the ice.
