Hi! Well, I'm hoping that everyone got to shop Silvia's Winter Sale already, but if you didn't, it's still going on - check the post just below this one - it's a great sale!

Today we are going to see a layout done by Sage Diva called K, and it's done with Silvia's Embroidered Dreams collection:

My first impression upon seeing this layout is a feeling of cool peacefulness. The colors of this kit are so beautiful and are perfect for bringing about that feeling. Now Kristen has used it in her wonderful artistic fashion to create a memory that will be a real treasure for a long time to come! I love how she's placed the picture. I always love background papers layered like this, and the way she's used the ribbons in a perfect horizontal line intersecting the edge layers brings a sense of order. I love the way she's made her picture black and white, that blends so perfectly with the kit colors. And look at that alpha K! This is right out of the box from Silvia, already embellished like that - I love this alpha!

Oh yes, I forgot to mention that Kristen's layout was placed in Gallery Standouts, a well-deserved honor!

Happy Tuesday scrapping friends! Today we are going to look at a layout using Silver Serenade - this one is by Jean Ann and is called Serenade:

I'm really liking the black and white photo with the color palette of this kit - it makes the photo stand out so nicely. I like how Jean Ann has angled the background paper too. But my favorite part of this layout is that she has used my absolute favorite elements in this kit, the sparkly treble clef and music notes! In fact, this very instant as I'm writing, I can see in my mind's eye a picture of mine that would look great scrapped with the kit and these sparkly notes - now all I have to do is go find the picture, LOL!

Happy Monday! Hope your week is starting off in a wonderful fashion! Today we are going to look at a layout that was created using Silvia's new Silver Serenade kit - it's called Portrait of Lily, by Glitter Queen:

I do believe Glitter Queen has done a magnificent job of showing off all the best parts of Silver Serenade, along with showcasing her picture with style and class. I really like the dark paper mat around the edge of the layout, and I really like the white mat she's used under the photo and cluster. Of course the cluster is amazing, and I think it's really cool how she has the one loop of ribbon just touching Lily's face. And doesn't Lily look beautiful here? Quite the growing young lady for sure!

Passion Flower

Happy Friday everyone! Hope your weekend shapes up to be fun and relaxing, whatever activities you get to do!

Today we are going to look at a layout done with one of Silvia's kits from last year. It's done using her So Pretty kit, and it's called Passion Flower by Terry F:

So Pretty is one of my favorites of Silvia's kits. I love the color palette of greens, tans and blacks - the colors are very versatile together, as you can see in Terry's layout. She's showcased her purple flowers beautifully with this amazing cluster that uses some of the many beautiful elements Silvia has given us in So Pretty. The frame is wonderful for multiple pictures, and I love how she's used the paper swirl to wrap around the corner of the frame. The green background paper peeking out from behind the black really ties things together in this special layout. Great job Terry!

Swan Lake

Good morning! Today I finally get to show you a layout from Silvia's gorgeous new kit, Silver Serenade! This one is by Sage Diva, called Swan Lake:

This kit is the perfect showcase for Kristen's pictures! I love this sort of angling on background papers, I think that adds much interest to a layout. I love how she's used the stamped elements behind her pictures - that really gives it a 3-dimensional feel. And the small flower clusters are the perfect touch as well. Did you notice how this little sweet girl's buttons exactly match the color of the swan's bill? I wonder if that was planned? Oh, and by the way, this layout won Layout of the Day at Gotta Pixel - a well-deserved honor! Congratulations Kristen, and thanks for sharing this wonderful treasure with us!

Hi everyone! I am waaayyy lazy today, can't believe it's taken me this long to get to the blog post, with no good excuses...let's see, maybe my dog ate my computer? LOL! I think, though, that by being lazy, I am getting to share a brand new, hot-off-the-press, just-posted layout from Jean Ann, using Circle of Life, and called Twins:

The colors in this layout just work beautifully with the photo, don't you think? I love the way Jean Ann has layered the lacy trims down the left side to match the angle of her picture, that's a really effective technique. She also makes great use of the great date wheel that Silvia has given us to work with in Circle of Life, along with a few clustered elements at the top of the wheel. Darling picture of twins rounds this out into a layout that will be a lasting treasure.

Hello scrapping friends! Today we are going to look at a layout done by Tant Eva called Alexander. Eva has drawn from three different products of Silvia's to create this wonderful layout:

Isn't the white space in this layout wonderful? Especially since she has bordered it with the lovely sparkly border. The cluster is just terrific, Eva is such a great cluster-maker, in my opinion! All the blues in the layout really bring out Alexander's sparkly blue eyes. And the little red butterfly is just a perfect touch, breaking up all the blues and adding a special zing of color. I have loved this layout since she first posted it, and I think you can see the reasons why!

Good morning - those of us in the US are celebrating Martin Luther King Day today, so maybe you're getting some extra time to scrap? Hope so!

Today we are again turning to Circle of Life - this is a layout by Glitter Queen, called Shine:

First off, I always enjoy looking at Glitter Queen's layouts as she follows the life of her sweet Lily - I feel like I'm getting to watch her grow up, even though I don't know her. She has done something special here - she's created a layout with amazing visual appeal, and still had a spot to add in a large block of journaling, something that often doesn't happen - and for my own layouts, journaling is a must-have, so I love to see where other layout artists have done that so skillfully as Glitter Queen has here. Her photo of Miss Lily is so pretty and really commands attention. The way she's clustered her elements and layered her paper strips is such a treat to look at - she's used so many of the beautiful papers and elements from Circle of Life here that it is easy to get a true feel of the scope of Silvia's kit. I think her use of the striped paper strip really sets off the cluster in a great way. What a fantastic layout, Glitter Queen, thanks for sharing it with us!

My Prize Rose

Hello scrapping friends! Well, today's your lucky day, despite what superstition might say about the date on the calendar page - we get to see another artistic creation from Silvia's latest kit, Circle of Life! This is called My Prize Rose and is by sagediva:

Kristen has chosen mostly the deep, rich reds from this kit, as well as lovely gold accents behind the picture. This layout definitely gives me a "paper" feel like I could reach out and touch it, especially that heart in the upper right corner of the picture. The buttons in the upper left corner are a great element as well, they provide the perfect anchoring for her second layer of paper. I love the date wheel in the bottom right corner too, I think that element brings a special touch to the layout. But I'd be remiss if I forgot to mention - her PHOTO! My eye is instantly drawn to the intense eyes of this precious beauty - it makes me wonder if her name is actually Rose? For me, the adorable picture combined with the papers and elements bring about a very classy creation by Kristen, and I know she's going to enjoy this for years to come!

My Beautiful Mother

Hello! Hope this Thursday finds you enjoying life to the fullest! Today I'm going to show you a layout by kaybkay called My Beautiful Mother, done with Silvia's A Vintage Delight kit:

A Vintage Delight is definitely a timeless kit, one you'll go back to over and over again, and Kay has shown that so well. I really like the background paper and how its straight lines contrast with the angled ones of the frames Kay has chosen - really makes them stand out wonderfully. I like how the bottom picture is tucked into the ribbon, and I love the way she's shadowed her butterflies. In her description of the layout, she says her mother described herself as being "just ordinary" when she was growing up, but she looks beautiful in these pictures to me as well. There's a good lesson for all of us when we are reluctant to have our picture taken or scrap about ourselves - down the line somewhere, someone is going to be soooo thrilled to see you, even more so if it's a page you scrapped with A Vintage Delight!

St. Kitts At Dusk

Good morning! In going through the gallery today, I found this layout spoke perfectly to how I'm feeling - wouldn't you all love a nice getaway to somewhere that would be a slice of paradise? Well, check out this stunning layout by Sage Diva - it's called St. Kitts at Dusk and uses Silvia's In The Gloaming kit:

The definition of "gloaming" is twilight - and the colors that Sage Diva has used in her layout are a perfect reflection of the twilight in her photos. I love how the coral color of the roses is echoed in the clouds above the town, and how the gold ribbon plucks out the sunset sky...and the blue ribbon and bracket show us that day is not quite gone yet, but night is only moments away. Sage Diva has done such a masterful job of showcasing In The Gloaming, she deserves a round of applause!

Good morning! Before we get to our lovely featured layout, let me tell you that Silvia has given me a week's vacation from blogging. BUT don't stop coming, because I promise there will be surprises here that you will NOT want to miss!!! I will be back to my regularly scheduled program on January 2 - next year, can you believe it? I can't!

There is so much to love about this layout! The way she has layered these background papers is so great, and I love how that sparkle just peeks out from the top left corner. And these flowers are just so gorgeous - how does Silvia manage to design so many different flowers, I ask you? I am always thrilled to see what she has come up with in each new kit. The way Sage Diva has placed the picture in the center of the page brings my attention to her picture, and I love how she's made it black and white, which really makes it stand out, rather than colors that might clash. A Quiet Moment with Santa will be a layout to treasure for a long time!

Good morning! I am so excited to show you today's layout! The51Mom has used Dreaming of Christmas in such an elegant fashion that she won Layout of the Day yesterday at Gotta Pixel - and definitely a well-deserved honor. Check this out:

Is this not truly a feast for the eyes? Look at that tree in the photos - that had to be huge, and that was way before the days of artificial trees! And then when you pair it with Silvia's tree in the cluster, it makes it shine even more. The picture of the large group of children is so precious - I can just hear their sweet voices as they present the story of the Nativity. And this amazing kit of Silvia's allows Judith to display her pictures with the attention they deserve - the gold and blue in this layout are fantastic. I love this background paper - little stars in the center of poinsettias - what a lovely touch! I can't find enough superlatives to use for both the layout and Silvia's Dreaming of Christmas kit!

Good morning! Well, if you dropped by yesterday, you saw the previews to Silvia's amazingly beautiful new kit, Dreaming of Christmas. This is so gorgeous; of course we know all of her products are gorgeous, but this one has just a special touch of Christmas magic that makes it even more spectacular. What a feast for the eyes, and also the heart! The Bible verse that she has used is one of my favorites, and probably one that many people are familiar with. Look at that cluster! Eva has done such a masterful job with her shadowing that I almost feel like I could reach out and touch the little strands on those lovely jeweled peacock feathers. Dreaming of Christmas is packed full of beautiful elements that will enhance not only your Christmas dream layouts, but others as well. The color palette is soothing and appealing to my eye, and that background paper is the perfect final touch for Eva's layout.

Let It Snow

Good morning! Today's layout has a title that I'm sure many of you are longing for, since snow about now might still be around for a White Christmas. It certainly won't snow where I am, but I hope the adage works for you if you are dreaming of that White Christmas.

Kaybkay has created a beautiful and poignant layout with Let It Snow as its title, using Silvia's Black Tie Collection and her Winter Glitz Series.

I love how her chosen black background paper and the blue touches really highlight her beautiful pictures. Her journaling shows us that Miss Blackie enjoyed the snowfall, although I'm sure she didn't want to go out in it! The poignancy comes when we learn that Miss Blackie is no longer with Kay's family...but what a beautiful layout to memorialize her Kay has created. The Gardens of Versailles

Good morning! I have been so caught up in a headlong dash to Christmas that I have forgotten my motto to live One Day At A Time...so, no Christmas layout today. We all know it's coming anyway, right?

Today The 51 Mom has provided an amazing layout for us to see. It's called The Gardens of Versailles, and it uses Silvia's Les Couleurs de la Saison:

Oh my goodness I love this layout! First off, Judith has allowed us to take a walk through the history of the French monarchy that we might not get otherwise, at least not in this form. The palace itself is so beautiful, and the flowers! Look at those flowers in her photo! And look how perfectly they blend with the flowers in Silvia's kit - these flowers are definitely a favorite of mine! Judith's wonderful blending of the second photo with her background paper lends a touch of elegance to her layout. I love how she has layered the background papers, with the red one peeking out and bringing a real zest to this page. And look how she's picked up the blue in the sky by combining the blue flower and bow in her cluster! And then there's that precious butterfly - I can just imagine it flitting among the flowers as we stroll among the gardens, can't you?

The Family Photo

Hi everyone! Well since we are moving closer and closer to Christmas Day, let's keep looking at those sorts of layouts. Today's is called The Family Photo and it's by kaybkay, done with Silvia's Christmas Treats:

Kay has done a terrific job with Christmas Treats - her layout is so great! I love the little flair circles on the right edge, and the way she's arranged the ric-rac below the picture. There are so many delightful elements to play with in this kit! But I must admit that my choice of layouts today had much to do with the picture and Kay's journaling. I can see why her family photos would be her most treasured memories, and that it wouldn't be peaceful to get everyone lined up to see the camera! But I'll bet there's lots of laughter associated with it, because everyone's face looks really happy! I almost never get to spend Christmas with my family of origin, so these sorts of layouts make me sooooooo happy to see!

Visions of Sugar Plums

Hi everyone! Today let's stay on the Christmas theme. Terry W has created a beautiful layout with Silvia's Visions of Sugar Plums kit, her layout with the same title:

Wow, look at Terry's clustering! There are so many terrific elements in this kit, and Terry has used them in such a wonderful fashion. The picture of the little boy is perfect, he has a look on his face exactly like he's having visions of sugar plums. And the direction of the cluster is just like he's seeing them in his mind's eye. Even though there are many papers in different colors, I think the choice of white for Terry's background is the perfect touch.

I have always been curious about the exact meaning of "sugar plums," so I looked it up in Wikipedia. Here's what they have to say: A sugar plum is a piece of dragée candy (fruit or nut coated in sugar) that is made of dried fruits and shaped in a small round or oval shape. The plum in the name of this confection does not mean plum in the sense of the fruit of the same name. At one time, "plum" was used to denote any dried fruit. Sugar plums can be made from any combination of dried plums (aka prunes), dried figs, dried apricots, dried dates, and dried cherries. The dried fruit is chopped fine and combined with chopped almonds, honey, and aromatic spices, such as anise seed, fennel seed, caraway seeds, and cardamom. This mixture would then be rolled into balls, often then coated in sugar or shredded coconut.

Sounds yummy! I will add this to the list of candy I hope to make someday (which will likely NOT be this Christmas...LOL!)

Good morning! Just in case you didn't know, it's only 16 more days to Christmas! I hope you all are more prepared than I am...but on Christmas morning my preparations are always sufficient even for my high standards.

Today we are going to see another layout from In the Gloaming, this one by Terry F and called The Bride:

Terry has created a layout that showcases Silvia's newest kit to perfection. I love all the clustered elements in the center, truly an artful arranging. There are so many pretty flowers in this kit, as you can see here, that it makes it easy to produce lovely clusters. The swirl and small cluster in the bottom corner are really eye-catching, and carry out the glittery theme of In The Gloaming so well. I love the slight sepia tone that Terry has used for her picture, it makes it blend perfectly with the elements of this kit. I just love the white background with the glittery border too.

Hi y'all! Well, Christmas is creeping up on us, at least it is on me. I hope everyone out there is much more organized than I am, and that you have all your shopping and decorating finished. I can say positively that I will be done by December 24th!

Today we are going to look at another layout from Silvia's new Black Tie collection. It's called White Christmas by Terry F:

Just breathtaking, don't you think? Terry's journaling takes us on a trip to Colorado for a white Christmas, something that we all dream of having (for at least half an hour, that might be enough, LOL!). The blues and silvers in Silvia's Black Tie Collection are perfect for her wintery layout's theme, and the reds are such a great accent - I am just in love with that red ribbon, so rich and shiny with the light reflecting off it. For me, the red ribbon leads my eye right into Terry's picture. Just proof, once again, that Silvia's kits work for any sort of layout your heart desires.

Good morning! If you visited here yesterday, you saw Silvia's beautiful new kit called "In the Gloaming" - if you have not seen it yet, then stop right now and scroll down to see it. Silvia challenged my vocabulary - I did not know the definition of "gloaming," so in case you don't know, it is synonymous with "twilight." And the colors in this beautiful kit definitely speak of that special, somewhat mysterious time of day.

Today we are going to look at a layout that Sage Diva has done with this new kit - it's called Cruisin' Cutie:

The blues on this paper and in the flowers are so stunning, and they are perfect for highlighting the picture of this definitely cute little girl. I love the way she has blended the photo, and I'm a big fan of the two clusters she has created. The gold and orange colors remind me of the last bit of daylight as the sun sets, and they tie in with the little girl's orange shirt so well. Definitely a kit that will work for many, many layouts!

Beautiful You

Good morning! Well, with the temperature outside here in Orlando, it would be the perfect day to feature a snowy layout (I know, we are weather wimps here, it got down to 47 last night!). But today I have babies on my mind, so I'm going to share with you all this adorable layout by SageDiva using one of Silvia's 2010 kits, Nana's Kiss.

I love layouts with large photos for sure, but sometimes you don't get the full flavor of the kit used. But that is NOT the case here! The first thing that caught my eye is how this definitely beautiful little girl is wearing a hat that is almost identical to the hat that SageDiva has used in her cluster - and doesn't she look just fabulous in it! The bent photos on the side show her exploring the hat so adorably, and I love the stitching used to secure the photos to the page - as well as the pin holding the larger photo in the upper left corner. As with all of Silvia's kits, this one can be used for many different layouts, but it is definitely good for showing off Nana's darling babies!

Good morning fellow scrappers! Today's layout was done by tanteva using Silvia's Visions of Sugar Plums kit. Here it is:

There is just so much to love about this page! I love how Eva has placed her photo in a circle, and the clustering around it is amazing! The paper layering with the ribbon peeking out the top adds another great touch. This kit is completely elegant - Silvia has used such a gorgeous color palette, not bright screaming colors, but colors that are a bit more muted, bringing such distinction to the layouts and also letting the pictures really shine - and that's what we all are after, right? And it's full of tempting "sugar plums," and has a darling nutcracker as well! There is also an Add-On as well as Quick Pages and a Brag Book too!

Oh yes, and Eva calls this layout "Favorite Santa" - he is a darling little guy for sure. My own favorite Santa is my dear husband - but that's a post for another day!

Good morning! Well, even though it's cooling off a tiny bit here in Florida, I'm still wishing for a little snowy weather, and wait til you see this layout! It's called Wawona Hotel, by The 51 Mom, using Season of Wonders and Silvia's Winter Glitz Series:

This is the perfect definition of winter for me! The beautiful blues in this layout almost make me shiver, and when you add the icy touches of Winter Glitz, the layout just sparkles and shines! The cluster she has used is wonderful, and I love the way she's framed the photo. And by the way, I looked this hotel up - it's a real place inside Yosemite, closed during the winter except for the Christmas season - but it is not cheap, as you might guess. I'll bet somewhere inside there is a roaring fire and rocking chairs...and pictures for even more layouts, right?

The photo is of her favorite scrapping subject Lily, and she has used Silvia's kit so beautifully. I love all the layering she has done with her papers, and the shabby paper background is a great touch. One of my favorite elements is the hummingbird - somehow that portrays to me that there is still hope in the depths of winter. And aren't the colors in this kit fantastic? "Wonder"-full for winter layouts, but works for other types of layouts as well, as Glitter Queen has shown us here!

Good morning! I decided today was a good day to look at a layout from Silvia's Abundant Fall kit - and wow, did I ever find one that shows off the kit's fantastic versatility! It's called Hosta Hat Contest, by Jean Ann:

This layout just grabs the attention! I love this type of paper layering, and using the dark and light papers gives it a great contrast - and then throw in that cutout piece and it's really eye-popping! The small cluster in the upper right corner fits perfectly in that area, and the larger cluster is amazing - I love the way she blended her photo into that textured paper! And the touches of yellow make the whole thing pop even more. This one's definitely going in my scraplift folder! Oh, and I forgot to even mention what a hoot that picture is!

Today we are going to look at a layout actually that I did a few months ago. It was done using Embraceable You, one of the many kits of Silvia's that I just love, and it's called Beautiful.

This layout brings back so many fond memories for me, of a great night my daughter spent with friends, and Embraceable You was perfect for scrapping my pictures. The papers in this kit really lent themselves to layering - the torn, grungy green paper was great for letting things peek out from underneath it. I love the journaling box, and the glittery element behind it (I am never sure what to call these elements, they are like stamps embossed with glitter in traditional scrapping). All of the elements made clustering so easy, and the color palette is so versatile for so many types of layouts.

Jean Ann has done such a masterful job in designing this layout. Her choice of similar colors from Silvia's kit gives it a great feeling, and lets her model really stand out - and isn't that extraction fabulous? I love the slanted frame, and I also love the hint of lace layered behind the paper on the right side. Every time I see another layout using Lush Season I am so thrilled with all the possibilities this kit brings.

Good morning friends! Okay, let's talk calories here - I know, I know, something we all loathe! But don't you dream of all the desserts you could have and not worry about calories? WELL! Silvia in all her designing glory has given us just that chance, and I'll show you what I mean.

Gorgeous, isn't it? Such deep, rich reds, and such a cute picture of Santa bursting out of his frame there. But we were going to talk about the calorie free goodies - you can see three of those treats on this layout, and I don't know about you, but I think I can almost taste all the sugary sweetness! And this whole kit is packed full of lovely sugary goodness to make your mouth water, but even better, to make layouts that will knock your socks off. What is Christmas without the treats, right?

Good morning! Today I am sitting in warm, muggy Orlando, looking at this layout like it's a mirage in the desert...LOL! This is a layout done by The51Mom with Silvia's beautiful kit Season of Wonders. Check this out!

This kit is so beautiful, so perfect for snowy wintery layouts, but also anything else that can use this elegant shade of blues and silvers. I love the way The51Mom has layered her papers. And don't those silver poinsettias look elegant? What I wouldn't give to be able to step into that layout right now - of course I'd have to acquire a winter coat first!

You can certainly call this layout Lush! The clustering Terry has done is just amazing, I love it so much, and she's used my favorite hydrangeas too. The touches of rust color are really catching to the eye. The swan photo is so peaceful, and the layout surrounding it is so beautiful, I could just keep on staring at it for a long time.

We are fast coming up on Thanksgiving, can you believe it? Silvia has given us a wonderful new kit in Lush Season to help with our fall scrapping projects, and as always, its potential goes on from there. Today we are going to see a layout by Sage Diva using Lush Season, called "Beary Special Friends" - here it is:

First off, you can see right away that the colors in this kit are certainly LUSH! The brown background is so deep and rich, with great depth by the wrinkling of the fabric. Sage Diva's clustering is amazing, and I absolutely love the multi-colored hydrangeas Silvia included in this kit. Sage Diva really made the photo stand out by making it black and white, but I can just imagine the curly brown fur of the bear being hugged by this very cute child. Such a wonderful layout!

Good morning!

In the US, we are moving toward Thanksgiving Day - it's just 2 weeks away, believe it or not. Many families will be gathering together in celebration of gratitude, in many different places and circumstances. I've noticed several friends making gratitude lists, have been doing it myself, as a matter of fact.

KayBKay has used Silvia's lovely Abundant Fall kit to create a layout commemorating one of her very special Thanksgiving memories. It's called Giving Thanks. See it here:

The layout is beautiful - I love how she's used the lighter-colored frames to really draw attention to her pictures, and the green paper strip also provides great contrast. Good morning and happy Monday after iDSD! I hope everyone had a great time shopping and playing this weekend, and I hope your stash is now full of even more delightful designs by Silvia! I absolutely love looking through all my Silvia goodies and dreaming of the beauty I can create, then getting to work and actually creating them!

You know that all of Silvia's kits are great for many different kinds of layouts, even though there may be a bit of theming to them based on the title. Well today I'm featuring a layout - actually a 2-pager - that does a good job of showing that, in an absolutely hysterical way! Instant Gratification

Good morning everyone! Today I have a reality check for you - sorry to do this to you, but it's something we all must face! There are only: 51 days, 17 hours and 31 minutes until Christmas - and while that may seem like a lot of time, that countdown clock just keeps on ticking. If you are anything like me, this is the time of year when I decide that I have to do so many projects for Christmas gifts that I couldn't get them all done even if I had 48 hours in a day and skipped sleeping altogether.

But wait - there is something that can help with this situation! With every kit she releases, Silvia also releases quick pages, gorgeous layouts that are already all finished for you, just add photos! Here's one example from Nature's Lover, with Silvia's own photo added:

Now it would take me at least an hour to create such a beautiful layout, but with the quick page I can be done in mere minutes, mostly spent deciding what picture I wanted to use. And I definitely could create 20 pages for a book within a day or two, which is great because this is the time of year that all the photo book sites are running great sales!

Good morning scrapping friends! Today's layout is from a gorgeous kit that I don't believe I've featured yet - it's called A Vintage Delight. The layout is called "Strangers" and it's by The 51 Mom. Here it is:

Isn't this fabulous? I love the colors in this kit, and The 51 Mom has shown them off so well. I love the way she's layered her papers, and the way she's clustered with her pictures. I also love the poem she has included, which I am going to copy here because it has a message for all of us:

Come look with me inside this drawer,
In this box I've often seen,
At the pictures, all in black and white,
And the faces proud, serene.

I wish I knew these people,
These strangers in the box.
Their names and all their memories
Are lost among my socks.

I wonder what their lives were like.
How did they spend their days?
What about their special times?

Wonderful words that are so very true. We need to be scrapping all we can of our precious photos so that our descendants will know who we were and what we loved. Good morning - or afternoon, as the case may be! I'm late today, and I don't even have a good excuse. I could make one up but...nah LOL!

Nature's Lover is still on my horizon as such a beautiful kit, so I'm going to feature another layout done with it. This one is called Adding Joy by Sage Diva. Here it is:

This layout just about blew me right out of the gallery with its gorgeous freshness. The clustering is amazing, and I love that she used B&W photos - it really draws your eye in, and I'm afraid that color photos would have been lost within the cluster - as it is, each part enhances the other. Does this give you some idea of the huge options Nature's Lover will bring you? Believe me, there is so much to do with this kit!

I hope you all had a chance to look at, and hopefully purchase, Silvia's amazing new kit, Nature's Lover. It is really special - I've been playing with it but have not yet completed a layout.

However, KaybKay did complete a fantastic layout, so that's what we are highlighting here today. It's called Young Love:

This is a layout showing pictures of her grandparents, who were married for 67 years. I love the way she's framed the photos and tucked them into "pockets" on her page. The curves are fantastic, and I love the main background paper she chose. There are so many choices in this kit, I am sure I will make more than one layout!

Halloween Magic

Happy Friday everyone - and Happy Halloween weekend too! When next we talk, it will be Halloween, and if you celebrate this holiday you'll probably be taking many pictures of your cute little witches and ghosts and goblins, so I decided we'd look at Silvia's great kit for this holiday.

Jhyll has created this adorable layout, called Halloween Magic, using Silvia's kit of the same name, also Halloween Magic. Here it is:

Aren't these puppies adorable? And they are obviously running from something really scary, jumping through that window to safety before the monsters get them. I like to think that this beautiful witch is helping them along the way rather than scaring them - how could such a lovely witch be really scary? That's the great thing about this kit - it works well for layouts that are "not so scary." Everything about this layout shows Halloween Magic to be a beautiful thing.

Baking with NeMa

Good morning! I have not yet had breakfast, and I think that affected my choice of pages today...LOL! Today's layout is by SageDiva, using another one of Silvia's unique and beautiful kits, La Vie en Douce. Here it is:

SageDiva ran with the theme of the kit, which is filled with delicious treats, and perfect for layouts about cooking - but I must say that it is perfect for many other types of layouts too. Her clustering is fantastic, and I love how she blended the "icing" over the background paper. And the sweet treats she's chosen for this layout are just a few of many mouth-watering delicious elements contained in Silvia's kit - which also has its own add-on to make even more wonderful layouts. Of course, that little sweet treat who's helping with the baking really "takes the cake"...LOL!

I googled the translation for La Vie en Douce, and it said "Life in Fresh." I think that's pretty much a literal translation and would mean something more specific if I actually knew the language, but that gives us some idea of its meaning.

Wowee, today's choice was TOUGH! I had originally planned to highlight a Christmas kit, since we are getting closer and closer to the big day. But then I saw that Silvia has an AMAZING new kit in the stores. However, since she has not posted it here on the blog yet, I'm going to go ahead with my Christmas plan. Just be sure to check back later for Silvia's new gorgeous surprise, if you have not already seen it.

Today's layout is called Visions of Sugar Plums by Glitter Queen, and it is from a kit by the same name, Visions of Sugar Plums. This is a kit Silvia released last Christmas, but it is as scrap-worthy today as it was last year. Here it is:

This layout is absolutely and completely darling! The papers are wonderful, I love how Glitter Queen has layered them. The mirroring of the photo is really a great technique, and the clusters of sugar plums make you really believe this little sweetheart is dreaming of those very sugar plums. Oh, this just makes me more in the mood for Christmas!

Good morning! Sorry I'm late today - actually I think it's Johnny Depp's fault. You see, I have his picture as my desktop wallpaper, and this morning when I started up my computer, Johnny just wouldn't quit looking at me, no matter how many buttons I tried to click. I finally had to reboot my computer to get him to go away. Darn that Johnny...LOL!

Today's layout is by Terry W, and it's called In The Cloud, using Silvia's beautiful Note to Self kit. Here it is:

For starters, I am in love with Silvia's color palette for this kit, I find them soothing, as well as so very versatile for making layouts. Terry has done a magnificent job here, with her wonderful photos and journaling about being "in the cloud" on a recent drive in the mountains in Colorado. Her clustering shows what a great artist she is, and she's used Silvia's kit in a way that gets my scrapping fingers itching to create my own art with Note to Self.

Hello friends! It's Monday, starting off another week closer to holiday time! This time of year is always filled with excitement for me, anticipating all the wonderful days to come. It's also filled with me making way too many plans to get accomplished. I try to stop every year, but I've finally decided it's just how I am.

When I saw this gorgeous layout in Silvia's gallery, I knew it had to be our feature for today. It's called Be Strong, by the51mom. Here it is:

Oh how I love looking at this! She has taken Silvia's beautiful Harvest Season and created something that is really a treasure. I love her clustering, I love the papers layered behind the verse. And I can almost see that butterfly landing on my shoulder. I think this is a wonderful layout that may need to be scraplifted by me! Harvest Season is a kit that Silvia released last year about this time, and it has so much potential for all kinds of layouts.

Layouts like this can also be the solution to some of my big holiday gift ideas. Even though most of our layouts have photos, it's also wonderful to do layouts like this with favorite quotes. This could be printed on your regular printer in 6x6 or 8x8 size, then framed in a square frame, and there you have it, a gift to be admired and treasured! Thank you to the51mom for such a wonderful inspiring layout.

Happy Friday! Almost the weekend, when I'm sure we will all have 2 days and 3 nights of total scrapping time, right? I mean, who needs to clean or cook or take care of kiddos? LOL!

Today I'm featuring a layout by Glitter Queen called "Snow Princess." Look at the beauty!

Glitter Queen used a number of different products of Silvia's in the creation of her layout masterpiece. For the basic kit, she used City Lights, such a wonderful and versatile kit, as you see here. She made it "wintery" by adding in parts of Silvia's Winter Glitz Series. This Series has the ability to turn any layout or kit into a winter wonderland! There are 6 parts to it (snowflakes, paper edges, overlays, messy mats, frames and embellishments), or you can also buy them all as a bundle. Glitter Queen used the Winter Glitz Frames and Embellishments (2 parts) on her layout. Good morning! Hope your day is starting out well - here in Orlando it was finally cool enough to sleep with the windows open last night, so I'm loving that!

Today I am going to highlight a layout that I did with Silvia's new Shabbyesque kit. I think I already said how very much I love this kit, and I had the BEST time working with it! My daughter turned 17 on Tuesday, so I wanted to do a birthday layout for her, and Shabbyesque gave me exactly the look I wanted. Here it is:

Her room is decorated in purple and black, so this layout will look great framed and hung on her wall. There are so many wonderful elements and papers in this kit that it was really hard for me to choose what to use, but I wanted to keep it fairly simple because of all the photos. I love the rub-on in the upper right corner, and I love that it has that tiny touch of red in it. I love the red in this kit, but it didn't quite fit for this layout, so I'll just have to do another one! Oh, and I absolutely LOVE the feather!

Good morning! If you celebrate Halloween, you realize that this holiday is right around the corner, and you probably have adorable Halloween photos to scrap. So today we're going to look at a layout created with Silvia's Halloween Magic kit.

Sagediva has made this wonderful layout she calls "Wickedly Cute," and the adorable child in the picture is definitely that! Here it is for your viewing pleasure:

I love the way Sagediva has layered her papers in this layout. Everything works so well together to really highlight her photo. The touches of purple are very nice, and her tiny clusters really make the page interesting. And I just LOVE pumpkin patch photos - Sagediva states in her layout description that it's not a real pumpkin patch as we don't have those in Florida, which is true - but the ones that are set up to sell pumpkins are wonderful!

If I'm not mistaken, Kay created this layout partly to show off her signature block, which she made using Silvia's Autumn Harvest. I love how her picture is the focal point - scrappers are often reluctant to scrap pictures of themselves, but Kay has shown us how to do that in a joyous way. Things are certainly starting off well in Silvia's stores! She has released her new kit Shabbyesque, and I promise you are going to love it! We all thought shabby wasn't really Silvia's style, but she let us know that she can do shabby, AND elegance, all in the same package. Silvia never ceases to amaze me with her artistry and talent.

So, here's the layout I'm featuring today, called "The Breakers" by Terry F:

Terry's positioning and size of the picture draws the eye right in, which is what a great layout is meant to do. But just look at how the whole layout stands out. She's used the dark red color in the building's roof to tie into the colors of Shabbyesque. She's used the wonderful rub-ons (I guess that's what you'd call them, the things under the photo) to really enhance things, and her cluster is perfect for her layout. While the layout shows off how wonderful it would be to visit this place, it also shows off just how wonderful it would be to scrap with Shabbyesque!

Today I'm going to showcase another layout from Silvia's beautiful Abundant Fall kit. This layout, done by Chickie, highlights the versatility of this kit (and really all of Silvia's kits). Her layout shows family members on a wedding day - there's not a single autumn leaf in the photos, but the layout is sheer perfection with the combination of layered papers and artistic clustering that Chickie has used. Good morning!

So Pretty is one of my favorite Silvia kits, although I'd probably say the same thing about most of them...LOL! I particularly like the black, green and tan color palette. I found working with it very easy and versatile, and it was great for some of my vintage photos in black and white or sepia.

This layout, done by The51Mom, is beautiful! The black and white photo, the layering of papers, and the relatively simple cluster all come together to make a really eye-catching layout. Check it out:

So Pretty will make a great addition to your scrapping stash, and I predict you'll go back to it over and over!

Choosing Tiaras

Good morning! Today we are going to enjoy the lights - City Lights that is! Although as you will see, Silvia's City Lights kit is great for many kinds of layouts.

The layout I'm highlighting was done by our very own Silvia, and it's called "Choosing Tiaras," which have lights all their own for sure. See it here:

This layout works for me on so many levels. The photos really stand out with their muted coloring against the blue and white paper and elements. And the touch of red for the background paper is a beautiful touch. And see how sparkly the lights are on the tiaras? I wonder which one she chose?

Christmas is Coming!

Good morning! Did you know that Christmas is coming? LOL, of course you did. I was going to look up how many days left til Christmas, but I was afraid it would make me too anxious! I love Christmas, I love everything about it - beautiful lights, pictures of snowy scenes, secrecy of wrapped gifts - and oh, all the wonderful goodies! Cakes and cookies and candy, oh my! About this time of year I have dreams of the Christmas Treats I will make...but usually I don't get nearly all of them actually done.

Luckily for us, Silvia has created this wonderful kit, Christmas Treats, to help us scrap our wonderful Christmas memories and dreams! Not only does it contain gorgeous Christmas colors, papers and elements, it also has some of the delicious Treats that I'm craving about now!

Here's a layout created by Glitter Queen called Gingerbread Fun that perfectly portrays the idea of Christmas Treats:

I love the way she's placed her papers, and that cluster is just fabulous! And the look of anticipation on Lily's face is indeed priceless.

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a delightful and restful weekend and are ready to tackle a new week!

Silvia's Pretty Ladies kit is one of her newest products, and it lives up to its name in great style! There are a number of layouts with this kit that show off "pretty ladies," but this one caught my eye. It's called Lily September 2011, and was created by Glitter Queen. Here it is:

What's not to love about this precious layout? Miss Lily is the epitome of darling, and I love how she's shown in both bright colored and more muted colored pictures. Glitter Queen's clustering and placement of pictures and papers are perfect to make this layout a real treat to look at. I think upon looking at this that Lily would be fun to play with on a sunny afternoon!

Good morning! One of the things that I miss by living in Orlando is seeing the beautiful colors of leaves turning. It's so much fun for me to see other people's fall layouts and get to vicariously enjoy this wonderful season. Today I'm going to blow my own horn - I'm featuring a layout I did last Halloween using Silvia's amazing kit Halloween Magic. It's a picture of my grand-niece (who I also call my practice grandchild!) posing in a local pumpkin patch. I love everything about this kit - glittery papers, festive colors, that bead string - this is a kit that you can use many, many times and not only on Halloween layouts but other layouts as well. Dust of Snow

Hi Everyone! I'm Sherry, also known around the digiscrap world as livingoutloud. I have the honor and privilege of spotlighting a new layout every day that has been created with Silvia's beautiful products. I'm really excited about this, and hope you will be too!

Here's the first layout - it's called Dust of Snow and it was created by Sagediva:

This layout gives me the feeling of the sort of day when the snow has just begun to fall, and you know there's more on the way, but for that moment you can just enjoy the beauty of the first dusting. Those kinds of days are always filled for me with the anticipation of the quiet loveliness of snow.
